The PGA Tour heads back to Texas this week, but who will leave Colonial Country Club as the Charles Schwab Challenge winner?

Davis Riley is back to defend his title after a five-stroke victory over Keegan Bradley and Scottie Scheffler in 2024.

Past and present Major winners that will tee off on Thursday include Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Hideki Matsuyama, Brian Harman, Lucas Glover, Webb Simpson, Zach Johnson, Gary Woodland, and Danny Willett.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Tommy Fleetwood

Tommy Fleetwood achieved consistent results during the first two months of his season on the DP World and PGA Tour, finishing T21 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, T22 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T5 at the Genesis Invitational, T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T14 at the Players Championship, T16 at the Valspar Championship, and T62 at the Valero Texas Open.

Fleetwood bounced back to his best after that disappointing result, placing T21 at the Masters, 7th at the RBC Heritage, and T4 at the Truist Championship before finishing T41 at the PGA Championship last weekend.

The 34-year-old finished T35 in 2022 and MC in 2023 at the Colonial Country Club.

Fleetwood has been in great shape lately and will fancy his chances to come out on top at the Charles Schwab Challenge this weekend.

Daniel Berger

Daniel Berger struggled at the beginning of his season on the PGA Tour, with results of MC at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T21 at the American Express, and MC at the Farmers Insurance Open.

However, Berger soon regained his touch, placing T2 at the Phoenix Open, 12th at the Genesis Invitational, T25 at the Cognizant Classic, T15 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T20 at the Players Championship, T30 at the Valero Texas Open, T21 at the Masters, T3 at the RBC Heritage, and T11 at the Truist Championship before finishing T33 at the recent PGA Championship.

The four-time PGA Tour has featured six times at this tournament, with results of MC in 2015, T53 in 2019, victory in 2020, T20 in 2021, T23 in 2022, and T45 in 2024.

Berger has been playing well lately and can win the Charles Schwab Challenge for the second time this weekend.

Si Woo Kim

Si Woo Kim has been in solid form on the PGA Tour lately, placing T8 at the RBC Heritage, MC at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T15 at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, T17 at the Truist Championship, and T8 at the PGA Championship last weekend.

Before that, Si Woo Kim finished 12th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T21 at the WM Phoenix Open, T24 at the Genesis Invitational, T19 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, T38 at the Players Championship, before missing the cut at the Texas Children's Houston Open, and at the Valero Texas Open.

The 29-year-old Korean golfer has yet to have an impact at the Charles Schwab Challenge, with results of MC in 2016, MC in 2017, T66 in 2018, MC in 2019, MC in 2020, W/D in 2021, T29 in 2023, and T56 in 2024.

Si Woo Kim has been posting solid results and can hoist the winning trophy in Texas come Sunday.

Keith Mitchell

Keith Mitchell has been in achieving good results on the PGA Tour since the end of March, placing T18 at the Texas Children's Houston Open, T12 at the Valero Texas Open, T2 at the Corales Puntacana Championship, T18 at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T7 at the Truist Championship before missing the cut at the PGA Championship last weekend.

Before that, Mitchell had been in decent nick, finishing T30 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, T21 at the American Express, T33 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T25 at the WM Phoenix Open, T42 at the Cognizant Classic, MC at the Players Championship, and T54 at the Valspar Championship.

The 33-year-old American has made three appearances at the Charles Schwab Challenge, finishing T64 in 2020, MC in 2021, and T37 in 2024.

Mitchell has the form to cause an upset victory at Fort Worth this weekend.

Verdict

Fleetwood has the form to come out on top at the Colonial this weekend.

Berger can win the Charles Schwab Challenge for a second time in his career if he can replicate his recent performances on the PGA Tour.

Si Woo Kim has been thereabouts in recent starts and can feature prominently at Fort Worth this weekend.

Mitchell comes into this event in decent nick and is the long-shot value bet in Texas.
