Hero World Challenge Preview & Picks
An elite field of the world's premier golfers travels to the Bahamas to contest the final PGA Tour event of the year at the Hero World Challenge. Which golfer will lift the trophy come Sunday?

Viktor Hovland returns to defend his title after winning on his debut at the Hero World Challenge in 2021.

Tiger Woods returns to tournament golf for the first time since his appearance at the 150th Open Championship.

Past and present major winners in the lineup include Matt Fitzpatrick, Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Collin Morikawa, Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, Shane Lowry and Woods.

These are our four picks that could win the tournament this weekend.

Jon Rahm

Jon Rahm has been in superb form lately, with results of T5 at the FedEx St. Jude Invitational, T8 at the BMW Championship, T16 at the Tour Championship, T2 at the BMW PGA Championship, victory at the Open De Espana, T4 at the CJ Cup in South Carolina and winning this third DP World Tour Championship in his career.

Other notable results for the Spaniard in 2022 include placing second at the Tournament of Champions, T14 at the American Express, T3 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T10 at the Phoenix Open, T9 at the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play, victory at the Mexico Open, T10 at the Memorial Tournament and T12 at the US Open.

The current world number five-ranked golfer has an outstanding record at this event, winning in 2018 and placing second in 2019.

Rahm is the man to beat on his current form and will relish the chance to secure another victory at the Hero World Challenge.

Tony Finau

Tony Finau has been in tremendous form since the end of July, winning multiple tournaments. He secured back-to-back victories at the 3M Open and Rocket Mortgage Classic, placed T5 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T28 at the BMW Championship, 9th at the Tour Championship, MC at the World Wide Technology Championship and won the Cadence Bank Houston Open.

Before those run of brilliant performances, Finau's only other significant results were finishing T19 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions, T2 at the Mexico Open, T4 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, runner-up at the RBC Canadian Open, and T13 at the Travelers Championship.

The 33-year-old has featured twice at the Hero World Challenge, placing second in 2018 and T10 in 2019.

The American has had a stellar year on the PGA Tour and will look to cap it off with his fourth victory of 2022.

Tom Kim

Joo-Hyung Kim has caught the eye since joining the PGA Tour with impressive displays on the golf course.
