Tour Championship Preview & Picks - Who Will Claim The FedEx Cup Crown?

The top 30 players in the FedEx Cup standings are headed to East Lake Golf Club this week, but who will leave with the winner's prize on Sunday?
Scottie Scheffler is back to defend his title after a four-stroke victory over Collin Morikawa in 2024.
The starting strokes format of the Tour Championship has been scrapped, with the tournament now being played as a 72-hole stroke-play event.
These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.
Tommy Fleetwood
Tommy Fleetwood has been in excellent form on the PGA Tour lately, placing T4 at the Truist Championship, T41 at the PGA Championship, T4 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T16 at the Memorial Tournament, MC at the U.S. Open, T2 at the Travelers Championship, T34 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T16 at the Open Championship, T3 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship and T4 at the BMW Championship last weekend.
Other noteworthy results achieved by Fleetwood this season include a T21 at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic (DP World Tour), a T22 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T5 at the Genesis Invitational, a T11 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a T14 at the Players Championship, a T16 at the Valspar Championship, a T21 at the Masters, and a 7th at the RBC Heritage.
The world's tenth-ranked golfer has featured four times at the Tour Championship, finishing T11 in 2018, T16 in 2019, T6 in 2023, and 20th in 2024.
Fleetwood has been ever-present on the leaderboards this season and can make the frame in Georgia this weekend.
Ludvig Aberg
Ludvig Aberg has been performing well on the PGA Tour since mid-July, placing T8 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T23 at the Open Championship, T9 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and T7 at the BMW Championship last weekend.
Other notable performances achieved by Aberg this year include a T5 at the Sentry, a victory at the Genesis Invitational, a T22 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a 7th at the Masters, a T16 at the Memorial Tournament, and a T13 at the RBC Canadian Open.
The Swede finished 16th at the 2024 Tour Championship on debut.
Aberg has been posting strong results lately and can emerge victorious at the East Lake Golf Club this weekend.
Russell Henley
Russell Henley has been in ultra-consistent form on the PGA Tour lately, placing T5 at the Memorial Tournament, T10 at the U.S. Open, T2 at the Travelers Championship, T10 at the Open Championship, T17 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and T15 at the BMW Championship last weekend.
Other prominent performances achieved by Henley this season include a T10 at the Sony Open in Hawaii, a T5 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, a T6 at the Cognizant Classic, a victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, and a T8 at the RBC Heritage.
The world's fifth-ranked player has made four appearances at the Tour Championship, finishing 12th in 2014, T3 in 2017, T14 in 2023, and T4 in 2024.
Henley has performed well throughout 2025 and can lift the winning trophy in Atlanta this weekend.
Cameron Young
Cameron Young has been back to his best on the PGA Tour since the beginning the June, placing T4 at the RBC Canadian Open, T4 at the U.S. Open, T52 at the Travelers Championship, T46 at the Rocket Classic, MC at the Open Championship, victory at the Wyndham Championship, 5th at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, and 11th at the BMW Championship.
Additional highlights from Young's season include a T8 at the Sentry, a T12 at the WM Phoenix Open, a T18 at the Valero Texas Open, a T7 at the Truist Championship, and 1 T25 at the Memorial Tournament.
The 28-year-old American finished 19th overall at the 2022 Tour Championship on debut.
Young has come good during the latter half of this year and could cause an upset victory in Georgia.
Verdict
Fleetwood has done nothing wrong all season and can win the Tour Championship come Sunday.
Aberg has the form to secure the title at the East Lake Golf Club this weekend.
Henley has enjoyed a successful year and can cap it off with another victory in Atlanta this weekend.
Young has been in great touch lately and should enter calculations in Georgia.
