  • Preview, predictions, stats & form
A competitive field of the world's best players returns to Japan to contest the ZOZO Championship this weekend. Who will win the latest round of the PGA Tour come Sunday?

Keegan Bradley returns to defend his title after a one-stroke victory over Rickie Fowler and Andrew Putnam in 2022.

Past Major winners who will tee on Thursday include Keegan Bradley, Hideki Matsuyama, Collin Morikawa, and Adam Scott, including Tokyo Olympic gold medalist Xander Schauffele.

These are our four selections that could win the title this weekend.

Rickie Fowler

Rickie Fowler secured his first PGA Tour title in four years at the Rocket Mortgage Classic at the beginning of July and has produced decent results since that victory by finishing T42 at the Genesis Scottish Open, T23 at the Open Championship, T58 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T25 at the BMW Championship and T16 at the Tour Championship.

Before that, Fowler was in great touch, placing T13 at the Players Championship, T17 at the WGC Dell Technologies Match Play, T10 at the Valero Texas Open, T15 at the RBC Heritage, T14 at the Wells Fargo Championship, MC at the PGA Championship, T6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge, T9 at the Memorial Tournament, T5 at the US Open and T13 at the Travelers Championship.

Additional highlights achieved by the 34-year-old last season include placing T6 at the Fortinet Championship, T11 at the Farmers Insurance Open, T10 at the WM Phoenix Open, and T20 at the Genesis Invitational.

The American has featured three times at the ZOZO Championship, finishing T57 in 2020 and T44 in 2021 before placing T2 overall in 2022.

Fowler came close to winning this event last year and will fancy his chances to go all the way this weekend.

Keegan Bradley

Keegan Bradley has been in decent touch on the PGA Tour since his victory at the Travelers Championship, finishing T21 at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, MC at the Open Championship, T43 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T29 at the BMW Championship and 9th at the Tour Championship.

Other prominent results achieved by Bradley last season include placing T5 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, T21 at the CJ Cup, 2nd at the Farmers Insurance Open, T20 at the WM Phoenix Open, T10 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and T23 at the Masters.

The 37-year-old has an excellent record at the Narashino Country Club, placing T13 in 2019 and T7 in 2021 before winning this event in 2022.

Bradley won two tournaments last season and could become the first player to win the ZOZO championship two years in a row.

Eric Cole

Eric Cole has started the 2023/24 PGA Tour season in excellent form, placing 4th at the Fortinet Championship, T35 at the Sanderson Farms Championship, and T3 at the recent Shriners Children's Open.

Other noteworthy results achieved by Cole during his debut season on the PGA Tour include finishing T15 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, 2nd at the Honda Classic, T5 at the Mexico Open, T23 at the AT&T Byron Nelson, T15 at the PGA Championship, T24 at the Memorial Tournament, T6 at the RBC Canadian Open, T24 at the Travelers Championship, T14 at the Wyndham Championship and T25 at the BMW Championship.

The 35-year-old American is making his debut at the ZOZO Championship.

Cole has had two top-four places in his last three starts and will have a chance to lift the trophy at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club if he can replicate those recent displays.

Beau Hossler

Beau Hossler has been producing solid results on the PGA Tour since the end of July, placing T6 at the Barracuda Championship, T13 at the 3M Open, MC at the Wyndham Championship, T20 at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, T30 at the Fortinet Championship, T28 at the Sanderson Farms Championship and T7 at the Shriners Children's Open last weekend.

Other notable performances achieved by Hossler this year include finishing T11 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, T14 at the WM Phoenix Open, 3rd at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, T10 at the Mexico Open, and T24 at the Memorial Tournament.

The American golfer placed T16 at the 2022 ZOZO Championship on debut.

Hossler has found consistency in his game lately and offers an excellent each-way bet this weekend.

Verdict

Fowler was ultra-consistent last season on the PGA Tour and will have a chance of victory in Japan if he can replicate that form.

Bradley loves this course and can win back-to-back ZOZO Championships.

Cole has been climbing the world rankings and will fancy his chances to secure victory at the Accordia Golf Narashino Country Club.

Hossler has been thereabouts in recent starts and should enter calculations this weekend.
