They then dropped a series opener against Toronto, 6-3, only to rebound with 7-0 and 5-3 wins over the Blue Jays, before beating Colorado 5-4 on back-to-back nights.
Baltimore missed out on the sweep as they then lost 4-3 to the Rockies, but they bounced back with 9-0 and 9-3 victories over the Chicago White Sox, before losing the final meeting 10-5.
The Orioles suffered a 4-2 defeat in Arizona after that, although they responded quickly with 7-3 and 8-5 wins over the Diamondbacks to end last week.
Los Angeles Angels Form
Los Angeles come into this game in miserable form, having lost 10 of their last 13 games and each of the last three.
The Angels’ miserable sequence started with an 18-4 blowout loss at home to Tampa Bay, which was followed by 4-3, 9-4 and 7-3 defeats to Cincinnati.
They briefly stopped the rot with 3-1 and 5-3 victories at the New York Mets, but they missed out on the series sweep as they lost the final game, 3-2.
Los Angeles then travelled to Philadelphia and suffered 6-4 and 12-7 defeats, before finally getting the better of the Phillies, 10-8.
The Angels failed to back up that win though, travelling to Oakland where they were swept in three games, losing 9-2, 2-1 and 10-6.
