The Astros ended August by bouncing back from a three-game losing skid with a five-game win streak.

Houston then followed up those victories as they swept the Red Sox in a three-game series in Boston, winning 13-6, 6-2 and 7-4.

Texas entered this series on the back of a much-needed win that a snapped a three-game losing sequence.
The Rangers rallied in late August as they rebounded from an eight-game losing skid with three wins in a four-game spell.
They ended the slump with a 6-2 victory in Minnesota, before bouncing back from a 7-6 loss with a couple of wins in New York.
Texas beat the Mets 4-3 and 2-1, before losing the final game of the series, 6-5, to split the four-game meeting.
The Rangers then suffered home defeats to Minnesota, losing 5-1 and 9-7, but did win the final game 6-5 to avoid being swept.
Verdict
Houston have owned Texas in recent months and with the Rangers in miserable form, that is likely to continue tonight.
