The Rangers then won the first game of the home series with Washington, 7-1, before responding to a 1-0 defeat to the Nationals with a 6-0 shutout win.
Kansas City Royals Form
Kansas City come into this series having blown hot and cold in recent weeks, going 6-6 in their previous 12 games.
The Royals failed to build on a series-opening win at home to Baltimore as they dropped the next two meetings, 9-7 and 5-0.
They then lost the series-opener against Toronto, 5-3, before rebounding with three straight victories over the Blue Jays, winning 3-2, 3-2 and 2-1.
Kansas City went out on the road after that and made it four wins in a row by beating Detroit, 8-0, only to then lose the next two meetings, 6-5 and 5-1.
The Royals’ skid reached three games with a 6-5 defeat in Toronto, but they finally stopped the rot with a 4-1 victory and then backed that up with a 6-1 success.
Verdict
Kansas City have been impressive at home this season and Brady Singer is off to a good start, so we like the Royals in this one.
