Marvin Vettori is the #8 ranked middleweight contender with a professional record of 19-7 (2 KOs, 9 Subs) and 1 draw.
Vettori made his UFC debut in the summer of 2016 and experienced a mixed start to his run as he went 2-2 with one draw in his first five outings.
He finally embarked on a win streak in 2019, starting with unanimous decision wins over Cezar Ferreira and Andrew Sanchez.
The 31-year-old Italian then submitted Karl Roberson in the first round, before taking his win streak to five fights with points successes against Jack Hermansson and Kevin Holland.
That earned Vettori a shot at the middleweight title, but for the second time in his career he suffered a decision defeat at the hands of Israel Adesanya.
He moved up to light-heavyweight after that loss and beat Paulo Costa via decision, but his outing at 205lbs proved to be a one-off.
‘The Italian Dream’ dropped back down to middleweight to drop a decision with Robert Whittaker only to bounce back with a points victory over Roman Dolidze in his next outing.
Vettori failed to follow that up though, as he was beaten on points by Jared Cannonier in his last fight in June 2023.

Roman Dolidze is the #11 ranked middleweight contender with a professional record of 14-3 (8 KOs, 3 Subs).
Dolidze signed with the UFC in July 2020 and got off to a strong start as he won his first two outings, knocking out Khadis Ibragimov in the first before beating John Allan by split decision.
He dropped down to middleweight after those victories at light-heavyweight, but his middleweight debut ended in disappointment as he lost to Trevin Giles on points.
The 36-year-old Georgian rebounded strongly though as he sparked a four-fight win streak with a decision win over Laureano Staropoli.
He then followed up that victory with three consecutive knockout wins, stopping Kyle Daukaus and Phil Hawes in the first, and Jack Hermansson in the second.
Dolidze failed to keep that win streak going though, as he lost to Marvin Vettori by unanimous decision.
The Georgian then dropped a majority decision to Nassourdine Imavov, before finally getting back on track with a couple of wins last year.
He first beat Anthony Smith on points in a light-heavyweight fight, before moving back down to middleweight to stop Kevin Holland via TKO.
Verdict
Marvin Vettori was able to out-strike Roman Dolidze over three rounds in the first meeting, and we expect similar scenes in the rematch.
He has the cardio advantage to go the full five rounds, something Roman Dolidze has done just once, so we expect a calculated display from Vettori that gets him back in the win column.
