Houston head back out on the road looking to build on their first win of the 2026 season.
The Gamblers – who were rebranded after competing as the Roughnecks in 2025 – kicked off the season with a ‘Texas Showdown’ with state rivals Dallas.
They were unable to contain Renegades quarterback Austin Reed, falling to a 36-17 defeat at the Toyota Stadium.
However, Houston issued the perfect response last weekend, with a surprise victory in their home opener.
The Gamblers took on a Birmingham team that had won three spring championships in the last four years, and won the game 22-20 thanks to a last-gasp 50-yard field goal from John Hoyland.
DC Defenders Form
DC have made an ideal start to their defence of the UFL crown, winning back-to-back games to start the season.
The Defenders have done it the hard way too – having been forced to go out on the road in Weeks 1 and 2.
They returned to the scene of their championship success in their season-opener, and came away with a 16-10 victory over the St Louis Battlehawks.
DC then backed that up last week as the produced the highest-scoring performance of the season so far.
The Defenders put up 44 points as they beat league newcomers, the Columbus Aviators, 44-26 to improve to 2-0.

DC are off to a strong start, but just how much can we read into that 44-point showing against an Aviators defense that has given up a bunch of points?
