Reinier De Ridder Form
Reinier De Ridder is the number four ranked middleweight contender with a professional record of 21-2 (5 KOs, 13 Subs).
De Ridder spent the early years of his career fighting on the European scene, before signing with Asia-based promotion ONE Championship in late 2018.
He wasted little time in climbing the ladder, winning the middleweight title in only his fourth fight for the promotion.
The 35-year-old Dutchman then added the light-heavyweight crown in his next outing, before returning to middleweight for successful back-to-back defences of the title.
De Ridder’s run as a two-weight champion ended in December 2022 when he was knocked out by Anatoly Malykhin in the first round to surrender the light-heavyweight championship.
He then lost the middleweight title in his very next fight, to the same opponent, as he was again stopped by Malykhin in the third round of that bout.
‘The Dutch Knight’ left ONE after that, and following a victory on an Abu Dhabi-based card, he signed with the UFC.
De Ridder debuted last November with a third-round submission win over Gerald Meerschaert, and he backed that up with three more wins during the first seven months of this year.
He submitted Kevin Holland in the first round, knocked out Bo Nickal in the second, and then beat former middleweight champion Robert Whittaker on points.

Brendan Allen is the number nine ranked middleweight contender with a career record of 25-7 (5 KOs, 14 Subs).
Allen earned a UFC contract in 2019 with a successful appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series, and he quickly made an impact as he reeled of three straight wins.
His run was ended by a second-round knockout loss to Sean Strickland, but he rebounded quickly by submitting Karl Roberson in the first before out-pointing Punahele Soriano.
The 29-year-old American then suffered a second-round knockout loss to Chris Curtis, only to respond with the best run of his UFC career; a seven-fight win streak.
Allen submitted Sam Alvey, and then followed up a points win over Jacob Malkoun with further submission successes against Krzysztof Jotko, Andre Muniz, Bruno Silva and Paul Craig.
He then out-pointed Chris Curtis in their rematch, only to see his red-hot run come to a halt a year ago.
Allen was beaten on points by Nassourdine Imavov, and that was then followed by a decision defeat to Anthony Hernandez earlier this year.
‘All In’ rebounded in July though, beating Marvin Vettori on points to remain in the middleweight rankings.

A late change in opponent is not ideal, but we still expect De Ridder to take this.
