Luque debuted in the UFC in July 2015 and rebounded from a debut defeat with four consecutive victories.
That run was halted by a decision loss to Leon Edwards, who has since gone on to win the welterweight title, but ‘The Silent Assassin’ quickly rebounded.
He submitted Niko Price in the second round before knocking out Chad Laprise and Jalin Turner in the first round, and Bryan Barbarena in the third.
Luque’s streak continued with a first-round knockout of Derrick Krantz, followed by a split decision success against Mike Perry, but it ended with a points loss to Stephen Thompson.
Again the New Jersey-born fighter responsed well to a defeat, this time reeling off four straight wins.
He beat Niko Price by doctor stoppage, knocked out Randy Brown in the second round, and then submitted both Tyron Woodley and Michael Chiesa in the first round.
Luque has not won since though, dropping a decision to Belal Muhammad before being knocked out in the third round by Geoff Neal.
Rafael dos Anjos Form
Rafael dos Anjos is the number 9-ranked lightweight fighter with a professional record of 32-14 (5 KO/TKOs, 11 Subs).
Dos Anjos won UFC gold in March 2015 when he bested Anthony Pettis over five rounds to win the lightweight title.
He then successfully defended it by knocking out Donald Cerrone in just 66 seconds, but that proved to be his only successful outing as champion.
The Brazilian was knocked out in the first round by Eddie Alvarez in his next defence, and then suffered a decision defeat to Tony Ferguson.
Dos Anjos moved up to welterweight after those losses and enjoyed immediate success as he beat Tarec Saffiedine by decision and Neil Magny by first-round submission.
He then beat former champion Robbie Lawler on points to earn a shot at the interim 170lb crown.
RDA came up short, losing by unanimous decision, and he went on to lose three of his next four outings at welterweight.
He lost on points to Michael Chiesa and future champions Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards, with his only win in that run being a fourth-round submission of Kevin Lee.
The Brazilian returned to lightweight after those losses and edged Paul Felder by split decision, before beating Renato Moicano on points in a catchweight fight.
Dos Anjos failed to make it three-in-a-row though, suffering a fifth-round knockout loss to Rafael Fiziev in July 2022.
He bounced back in December though, returning to welterweight for a second-round submission of Bryan Barberena.
