The Hawks lost three consecutive outings in late November, but rallied before the month as they recorded back-to-back upsets of Cleveland, winning 135-124 on the road and 117-101 at home.
They then took their win streak to six games as the beat Charlotte 107-104 on the road, New Orleans 124-112 at home, Milwaukee 119-104 on the road, and the Los Angeles Lakers 134-132 (OT) at home.
Atlanta failed to make it seven wins in a row, as they lost 141-111 at home to Denver, but they rebounded immediately.
The Hawks returned to NBA Cup duty on Wednesday night and booked their place in the semi-finals with a 108-100 victory in New York.
Milwaukee Bucks Form
Milwaukee also go into the NBA Cup semi-finals on a good run of form, having now won nine of their last 11 games.
The Bucks made a slow start to the season, but finally found some form in late November to kick-start their campaign.
A 101-100 win against Houston proved to be the start of a seven-game win streak that saw them also beat Chicago 122-106, Indiana 129-117 and Charlotte 125-119 at home.
Milwaukee then travelled to Miami for a 106-103 win, before beating Washington 124-114 at home and Detroit 128-107 on the road,
The Bucks’ run was ended by a 119-104 defeat to Atlanta and a 111-105 loss in Boston, but they have rebounded by beating Brooklyn 118-113 and Orlando 114-109.
Verdict
Milwaukee are enjoying a good run, but they continue to find covers hard to come by.
