Golden State head back out on the road having surrendered a two-game lead to set up this Game 7 clash.
The Warriors went 48-34 in the regular season and downed Memphis 121-116 in the Play-In Tournament to make it to the playoffs.
They then made a great start to the postseason with a 95-85 win in Houston, only to lose the second meeting 109-94.
That first victory gave Golden State an edge though, and they put themselves within one win of advancing when they recorded back-to-back home wins, 104-93 and 109-106.
However, the Warriors failed to take two chances to clinch, losing 131-116 on the road and 115-107 at home.
Houston Rockets Form
Houston return home having resurrected this series with back-to-back wins to force Game 7 with the Warriors.
The Rockets put together a 52-30 record to finish second in the Western Conference standings, but made a rough start to the playoffs as they lost 95-85 at home.
They rebounded to win the second meeting with Golden State, 109-94, only to then head out on the road and suffer consecutive defeats that left them on the brink, 104-93 and 109-106.
That left Houston in a ‘must-win’ situation and they rallied at home with a 131-116 victory.
The Rockets then ensured a seventh showdown with Golden State as they went back out on the road to upset the Warriors, 115-107.
Verdict
Momentum is now firmly in the corner of Houston after that impressive showing Game 6.
They rose to the occasion on the road, and now we expect the Rockets to back up that victory with a series-sealing success in their own house.
