Golden State enter the new campaign looking to better last season’s showing, which saw them bow out in the conference semi-finals.
The Warriors were the dominant force in the NBA between 2014 and 2019, as they made multiple appearances in the finals and won the championship three times.
They suffered something of a hangover over the next two seasons, missing out on the playoffs, but returned with a vengeance in 2022 to beat Boston 4-2 in the finals.
Golden State failed to retain their crown the following year, losing to the Lakers in the conference semi-finals, and then missed out on the playoffs altogether in 2024.
The Warriors did make it back to the postseason last time around though, beating Houston in the first round before bowing out against Minnesota in the conference semi-finals.

Los Angeles once again enter the season with NBA title ambitions, following another disappointing playoff appearance last time around.
The Lakers ended a decade-long wait to lift the trophy when they finally reclaimed the championship in 2020, but it has been playoff disappointment for them every year since.
The following year they crashed out in the first round, and the year after that they did not even make it to the postseason as they finished 33-49.
Los Angeles bounced back a year later and made it to the conference finals, where they were swept in four games by Denver.
A year later the Lakers were again eliminated by Denver, this time in the first round, and last year’s playoff appearance was also shot as Minnesota beat them 4-1 in round one.

Golden State have enjoyed plenty of success at the Crypto.com Arena in recent times.
