Indiana progressed to the conference semi-finals by beating Milwaukee in five games in the first round.
The Pacers secured their place in the playoffs by going 50-32 during the regular season to finish fourth in the Eastern Conference, and they made a strong start to the postseason.
They made the most of home advantage as they opened up a 2-0 lead with a 117-98 and 123-115 victories over the Bucks.
Indiana failed to make it three-in-a-row as they were beaten 117-101 in their first road game of the series, but they would not be beaten again.
The Pacers won the second meeting in Milwaukee, 129-103, and then returned home to clinch the series with a 119-118 victory in overtime.
They made a winning start to this series too, as they ran out 121-112 winners in Game 1 in Cleveland.

Cleveland made straightforward work of their first round series, sweeping Miami in four games to ease into the conference semi-finals.
The Cavaliers, who finished top of the Eastern Conference with a 64-18 record, made a dominant start to the postseason as they blew out the Heat at home, 121-100.
Their second victory of the series was less dominant, but a 121-112 victory was enough to ensure they took a two-game lead to Florida.
Cleveland gave themselves the chance to clinch on the road as they ran over the Heat in a 123-87 win in Game 3.
And that is exactly what the Cavaliers did, as they destroyed Miami in the most one-sided game of the series, winning 138-83.
Cleveland's perfect run in the postseason ended in Game 1 of this series though, as they were beaten 121-112 at home on Sunday.
Verdict
Indiana have been one of the NBA's hottest teams since the start of the year.
