The Pacers enjoyed a three-game win streak earlier this month, which included a 126-124 victory over Milwaukee, but they have not strung together wins since then.
They split two games in Philadelphia, losing 137-126 and winning 132-126, and then fell to a 128-116 defeat when they hosted Orlando.
Indiana then edged Atlanta 157-152 in a sensational shootout, only to lose 132-131 when they returned home to face Toronto.
The Pacers again bounced back quickly from a loss, beating Detroit 136-113, but again they failed to follow up a victory as they lost 114-110 to Portland.
Miami Heat Form
Miami come into this matchup have lost each of their last three games to fall to 10-8 for the season.
The Heat were red-hot earlier this month, reeling off seven straight wins to rebound from a slow start.
That streak was halted by a surprise 102-97 defeat in Chicago, but they issued an immediate response as they beat the Bulls, 118-100, two days later.
Miami backed that up with a 129-97 blowout of the Cavaliers in Cleveland, but they have not won since that night.
The Heart were beaten 100-98 at New York and 112-97 in Brooklyn, before returning home to suffer a 131-124 defeat at the hands of Milwaukee.
Verdict
Indiana's bad defensive play will be a major Achilles heel against the league's best teams, so we like the chances of Miami snapping out of their funk at home.
