The Pacers blew cold in the middle of January when they lost five times during a six-game spell, starting with a 117-109 defeat in Denver and a 132-105 loss in Utah.
They then failed to build on a 126-121 victory in Sacramento as they lost their next three games, falling 118-115 in Portland, 117-110 in Phoenix and 114-109 at home to Denver.
Indiana avoided a fourth consecutive loss though, beating Philadelphia 134-122, and they were able to build on that with two more wins.
The Pacers beat Phoenix 133-131 and Memphis 116-110 before seeing their run end with a 129-124 defeat in Boston.
New York Knicks Form
New York come into this matchup in red-hot form, having now won 14 of the 16 games they have played in 2024.
The Knicks started the year with a five-game win streak, and they rebounded from a 128-124 defeat in Dallas with a 106-94 victory in Memphis.
They failed to follow that up as they then lost 98-94 at home to Orlando on January 15, but they have not tasted defeat since that night.
New York rebounded to beat Houston 109-104, Washington 113-109 and Toronto 126-100 at home, before heading to Brooklyn to beat the Nets 108-103.
The Knicks then returned home to down Denver 122-84 and Miami 125-109, and took their streak to eight games as they then won 113-92 in Charlotte and 118-103 at home to Utah.
Verdict
Indiana made light work of New York in December, but no team in the NBA is hotter than the Knicks right now.
