Los Angeles head to Detroit looking to get back on track after losing two of their last three to drop to 10-8.
The Lakers enjoyed a good run of form earlier this month as they won six times during a seven-game spell.
The run started with a 122-119 win in Phoenix, which was followed by a 116-110 win against Portland and a 134-107 blowout of Memphis.
Los Angeles then rebounded from a 125-110 loss to Sacramento with a 107-95 win at Portland, and backed that up with a 105-14 victory over Houston and a 131-99 demolition of Utah.
The Lakers’ have won just once since then though, sandwiching a 121-115 victory at Cleveland with a 104-101 loss to Dallas and a 138-94 defeat in Philadelphia.
Detroit Pistons Form
Detroit come into this game on a 14-game losing skid that has left them with a 2-15 record and no wins since October 28.
The Pistons rebounded from a 103-102 opening-night defeat in Miami with a 111-99 victory in Charlotte, and they backed that up with a 118-102 success in Chicago.
It has all been downhill from there though, with a 124-112 loss at Oklahoma City sparking this long losing run.
Seven of those defeats have come on their home form, with the latest coming when Detroit hosted Washington on Monday night.
The Pistons were still in the game after three quarters, but were out-scored 32-24 in the final period to lose 126-107 to the Wizards.
Verdict
Detroit are on a terrible run, so this could be the perfect 'get right' road game for Los Angeles.
