They needed additional time to win their second game of the season too, as they went out on the road for a rematch of last season’s NBA Finals.
Oklahoma City were able to get the job done though, as they won a thrilling shootout with Indiana, 141-135.
The Thunder then made it three-in-a-row on Saturday, as they moved on to Atlanta to take down the Hawks, 117-100.
Dallas Mavericks Form
Dallas go into this meeting with the defending champions looking to build on their first win of the season.
The Mavericks have been given five straight home games to start the season, but they have failed to take full advantage through three games.
They opened the season with an all-Texas showdown with San Antonio, and they were blown out by the Spurs in a 125-92 defeat.
Dallas broke the 100-point barrier in their second outing, but that was not enough to prevent them from losing 117-110 to Washington.
The Mavericks did finally get off the mark on Sunday night though, as they downed Toronto in a shootout at home, 139-129.
Verdict
Dallas leaned to tally on offense to get the job done on Sunday, but that is not likely to work here.
Oklahoma City’s defense is considerably better than Toronto’s, so we expect the Thunder to make plenty of stops as they slow down the Mavericks and take this.
