They returned home to reel off three consecutive victories, beating Milwaukee 119-101, Minnesota 126-123 and Utah 123-110.
San Antonio’s run was ended when they went back out on the road to lose 111-106 in Houston, but they responded two nights later with a 126-109 success in Utah.
The Spurs were unable to follow that up though, as they were beaten 104-95 at home by New Orleans last Sunday.

Houston go into this game on a good run of form, having rebounded from a three-game skid with six wins in their last eight games.
The Rockets snapped that skid with a 119-113 win at home to Chicago, and they then issued an immediate response to the 111-91 defeat to Oklahoma City.
They put together a three-game win streak at home as they downed Minnesota, 110-105, New Orleans, 119-110, and San Antonio, 111-106.
Houston failed to make it four-in-a-row as they lost 128-122 in overtime in Philadelphia, but they have not tasted defeat since then.
The Rockets bounced back with a 111-104 victory in Detroit, before returning home to beat Memphis 108-99.
Verdict
Houston have dropped a couple of games recently, but it is tough to oppose them at home.
The Rockets have been stacking up wins at the Toyota Center over the past couple of weeks, including beating the Spurs eight days ago.
