Florida go into their conference opener on the back of a shock loss that has piled pressure on head coach Billy Napier.
Napier was already feeling the heat after a disappointing 2024 campaign that saw them lose five times, including a blowout loss to Miami FL in the season-opener.
Those five losses meant they missed out on a place in the expanded playoffs, so they came into the new season eager to get back amongst the best in college football.
Florida enjoyed a winning start to the campaign as they shut out LIU at ‘The Swamp’ winning 55-0.
However, the Gators failed to make it back-to-back wins last weekend as they suffered a sensational 18-16 defeat at home USF.

LSU enter their first SEC outing of the season having made a solid start with back-to-back wins.
Like his counterpart on the opposite sideline, there was also pressure on Brian Kelly heading into the season-opener in Clemson.
The Tigers lost three straight conference games last season as they again missed out on the College Football playoffs, putting Kelly firmly in the firing line heading into 2025.
However, LSU got off to a dream start as they went out on the road to take down a Clemson team that many were touting as potential national champions.
The Tigers won 17-10 in ‘Death Valley’, and backed that up in their home opener as they beat Louisiana Tech 23-7.

LSU hardly ran away with it last week, but they at least got the job done, unlike Florida.
