The Gators entered the new season looking to build on a promising end to the 2024 campaign that saw them win their final four games and upset two ranked teams.
They got off to a winning start as they shut out Long Island in a 55-0 victory at ‘The Swamp’.
However, Florida were unable to build on that a week later as they suffered a shock 18-16 defeat at home to the University of South Florida.
That became back-to-back defeats for the Gators last weekend, as they went out on the road to lose 20-10 to LSU in their opening SEC matchup.
