The Yellow Jackets opened the season with back-to-back non-conference wins, winning 27-20 in Colorado and beating Gardner-Webb 59-12 at home.
They then opened their ACC campaign with a 24-21 upset of ranked Clemson, before downing Temple in non-conference action, 45-24.
Georgia Tech returned to conference duty after that and the wins kept coming as they won 30-29 at Wake Forest and beat Virginia Tech 35-20 at home.
The Yellow Jackets then won 27-18 at Duke, before returning home to down Syracuse 41-16.
NC State Form
NC State return home in rough form, having now lost four of their previous five games to fall to 4-4.
The Wolfpack kicked off the campaign with a 24-17 win over East Carolina, and backed that up with a 35-31 win over Virginia that was classed as a non-conference victory.
They won their official ACC opener at Wake Forest a week later, 34-24, but they have managed just one non-conference victory since then.
NC State lost 45-33 at Duke and then fell 23-21 at home to Virginia Tech, before ending their losing sequence with a 56-10 blowout of Campbell.
The Wolfpack were then beaten 36-7 at Notre Dame, before heading to Pittsburgh for a 53-34 loss to the Panthers.

Georgia Tech have cemented their status as the front-runner for the ACC crown.
