They then blew out Temple, 42-3, before kicking off their SEC schedule with a 24-17 win over Auburn.
Oklahoma made it to 5-0 with a 44-0 shutout of Kent State in non-conference play, only to then suffer a 23-6 defeat when they took on SEC rivals Texas.
The Sooners rebounded to win 26-7 in South Carolina, but they failed to back that up a week later as they fell 34-26 at home to Ole Miss.

The Volunteers opened the season with a couple of non-conference wins, beating Syracuse 45-26 and East Tennessee State 72-17.
They then lost 44-41 to Georgia in their SEC opener, before returning to non-conference action for a 56-24 victory at home to UAB.
Tennessee backed that up as they kick-started their conference campaign with a 41-34 win over Mississippi State and a 34-31 success against Arkansas.
The Volunteers failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 37-20 at Alabama, but they did rebound a week later with a 56-34 victory in Kentucky.
Verdict
Tennessee needed last week’s win over Alabama and we expect them to back it up here.
