The Gamecocks opened the season with back-to-back wins over non-conference opposition, beating Virginia Tech 24-11 and South Carolina State 38-10.
They failed to keep that going in their SEC opener though, as they were beaten 31-7 at home by Vanderbilt.
South Carolina then fell 29-20 at Missouri, before finally registering their first conference victory as they beat Kentucky 35-13 at home.
The Gamecocks have not won since though, following up a 20-10 defeat at LSU with home defeats to Oklahoma, 26-7, and Alabama, 29-22.

Ole Miss enter this matchup having rebounded from their first defeat of the season to improve to 7-1.
The Rebels kicked off the campaign with a 63-7 blowout of Georgia State, and backed that up with a couple of quick SEC wins, beating Kentucky 30-23 and Arkansas 41-35.
They kept that win streak going with a 45-10 blowout of Tulane in non-conference action, before returning to SEC duty with a 24-19 upset of number four LSU.
Ole Miss made it to 6-0 with a 24-21 victory over Washington State, but their perfect start was finally ended a week later as they were beaten 43-35 at Georgia.
The Rebels issued an immediate response however, as they downed the Sooners in Oklahoma last weekend, 34-26.

Ole Miss issued the perfect response to the loss in Georgia, and we expect them to back it up.
The Rebels comfortably beat South Carolina a year ago and Saturday’s meeting is likely to play out in similar fashion.
