The Orange enjoyed a successful 2024 season that saw them upset three ranked teams, with the highlight being their 42-38 victory over a top-10 ranked Miami team.
There was no repeat of those upsets in their 2025 opener, as they were beaten 45-26 by Tennessee, but they have rebounded quickly from that loss.
Syracuse got off the mark a week later as they downed UConn in their home opener, 27-20.
The Orange then followed that up with another success at home in Week 3, blowing out Colgate 66-24 in a Friday night clash.

Clemson return home in desperate need of a victory, having dropped their conference opener last weekend.
The Tigers came into the season as a contender for the national championship, but after three games they are in serious danger of missing out on the playoffs altogether.
They kicked off the campaign with a huge home game against LSU, and the offense failed to fire as they were beating 17-10.
Clemson bounced back with a victory a week later, but they were far from convincing as they had to stage a second-half fightback to beat Troy 27-16.
The Tigers failed to follow that up in their opening ACC game though, as the offense again struggled in a 24-21 defeat to Georgia Tech that saw the Yellow Jackets take it with a walk-off field goal.
Verdict
Clemson’s offense has been a mess and Dabo Swinney’s seat is getting hotter by the minute.
So while the Tigers are at least the better team on paper, it is impossible to have any faith in them covering such a big number as they offense continues to splutter.
