The Bruins opened with a 43-10 blowout loss at home to Utah, and that was followed by a 30-23 home defeat to UNLV and a 35-10 loss to New Mexico.
Their losing skid then reached four games as they kicked off their conference schedule with a 17-14 defeat at Northwestern.
UCLA finally got off the mark at the start of October though, and they did it in blockbuster fashion as they knocked off top-10 ranked Penn State, 42-37.
The Bruins than backed up that victory with two more Big Ten successes, winning 38-13 at Michigan State and 20-17 at home to Maryland.

Indiana enter this matchup still boasting a perfect record, having won each of their seven games so far this season.
The Hoosiers opened with three non-conference games and took down Old Dominion 27-14, Kennesaw State 56-9 and Indiana State 73-0.
They then made a sensational start to their Big Ten campaign as they destroyed top-10 ranked Illinois at home 6-310.
Indiana backed that up a week later with a 20-15 victory at Iowa, before recording their biggest win of the season so far as they took down number three Oregon on the road, 30-20.
The Hoosiers then took their record to 7-0 last weekend as they downed Michigan State at home, 38-13.
Verdict
UCLA are surging right now, but we expect Indiana to deliver a reality check in this one.
