The Cardinals dug themselves into an early hole as they lost four of their first six games, but they breathed life into their season by winning the next four.
They beat the Los Angeles Chargers 17-15 at home, before backing up a 28-27 victory in Miami with home wins over Chicago, 29-9, and the New York Jets, 31-6.
Arizona’s form then cooled as they lost 16-6 in Seattle, 23-22 at Minnesota and 30-18 at home to Seattle to dent their playoff hopes.
The Cardinals did avoid a fourth straight loss though, beating New England 30-17, only to then suffer a 36-30 overtime defeat in Carolina last time out.
Los Angeles Rams Form
Los Angeles enter this matchup having put themselves on course for the playoffs thanks to a good run of form that has seen them win eight of their last 10 games.
The Rams lost four of their first five games as they dealt with a bunch of injuries, but they have reignited their season since the 20-15 win over Las Vegas.
They backed that up with a 30-20 win over Minnesota and a 26-20 overtime victory in Seattle, and then responded to a 23-15 loss to Miami with a 28-22 win over New England.
Los Angeles lost 37-20 to Philadelphia after that, but bounced back quickly to beat New Orleans 21-14, Buffalo 44-42 and San Francisco 12-6.
The Rams then made it three victories in a row last weekend, as they battled to a 19-9 win at the New York Jets.
