Baltimore head into this short week looking to build on last weekend’s big home win over Chicago which improved them to 2-5.
The Ravens opened the season by blowing a big lead late on to fall 41-40 at Buffalo, and although they rebounded to blow out Cleveland a week later, 41-17, their early-season form plunged them into a crisis.
They were beaten 38-30 at home by Detroit, and then suffered a 37-20 defeat in Kansas City that saw Lamar Jackson go down with injury.
In his absence Baltimore were blown out at home by Houston, 44-10, and that was followed by a 17-3 defeat by the Los Angeles Rams.
The Ravens were able to snap their skid last Sunday though, beating Chicago 30-16, and now they could have Jackson back from this meeting with the Dolphins.
Miami Dolphins Form
Miami return home looking to back up last weekend’s win in Atlanta, which was only their second of the season.
The Dolphins opened the 2025 campaign with a 33-8 blowout defeat in Indianapolis, and they have struggled to rebound from that.
They lost 33-27 to New England at home and then fell 31-21 in Buffalo, before finally getting off the mark with a 27-21 win over the New York Jets.
Miami immediately returned to losing ways though, going down 27-24 in Carolina, and that was followed by a 29-27 home loss to the Los Angeles Chargers and a 31-6 hammering in Cleveland.
The Dolphins did halt that losing skid at three games though, as they beat the Falcons 34-10 in Atlanta last weekend.
Verdict
Miami blew out the Falcons at the weekend, but they are not expected to clip the Ravens’ wings.
Baltimore’s offense burst into life at the weekend while a healthier defense made some key plays to secure the victory, and now they have Jackson back to lead the charge.
