The Panthers opened the season with back-to-back road defeats, losing 26-10 in Jacksonville and 27-22 at Arizona, before getting off the mark with a 30-0 shutout of Atlanta in their home opener.
They failed to build on that as they lost their next game at New England, 42-13, but they responded with back-to-back wins at home, beating Miami 27-24 and Dallas 30-27.
Carolina then beat the New York Jets 13-6 on the road, before rebounding from a 40-9 defeat to Buffalo with a 16-13 upset of the Packers in Green Bay.
The Panthers lost 17-7 at home to New Orleans a week later, only to bounce back on the road as they beat Atlanta 30-27 in overtime.
San Francisco 49ers Form
San Francisco enter this game on the back of a win that took their record to 7-4, but they are a team in inconsistent form.
The 49ers opened up with three consecutive wins, beating Seattle 17-13 and New Orleans 26-21 on the road, before downing Arizona 16-15 in their home opener.
Their perfect start was ended by a 26-21 loss to Jacksonville, and although they rebounded to beat the Los Angeles Rams 26-23 in overtime, they then lost 30-19 at Tampa Bay.
San Francisco’s inconsistent form continued as they failed to follow up a 20-10 win over Atlanta, losing 26-15 in Houston.
The 49ers then sandwiched a 42-26 home defeat to the Los Angeles Rams with road wins over the New York Giants, 34-24, and Arizona, 41-22.

San Francisco’s form is not the best, but they are getting healthier on offense and it has shown in recent outings.
