They dropped back-to-back road games against Buffalo and Miami, but rebounded to win their final two regular season games.
Dallas beat Detroit 20-19 at home and Washington 38-10 on the road to go into the playoffs with momentum, but their stay in the postseason was short-lived.
The Cowboys played host to Green Bay in the Divisional round and fell to a 48-32 defeat to Mike McCarthy’s former team.
Cleveland Browns Form
Cleveland are eyeing another trip to the playoffs after they made it to the Wildcard round last season.
The Browns split their first four games of the season, but rallied with five wins over the next six games to kick-start their season.
They then won seven of their final 10 games, with four consecutive victories in December ensuring their place in the postseason.
Cleveland’s run came after Joe Flacco’s late-season arrival following an injury to Deshaun Watson.
However, Flacco’s dream run was brought to a shuddering halt in the playoffs, as they were blown out 45-14 in Houston in the Wildcard round.
Verdict
Both teams have undergone changes in the offseason, but one thing that has not changed is this Cleveland defense.
Myles Garrett & Co. will be a massive headache for the rookies on the Dallas O-line, so we like the Browns in Week 1.
