Denver enter their penultimate game of the regular season having already secured playoff football at 12-3.
The Broncos stumbled early as they failed to build on an opening-day win, losing back-to-back games on the road.
They went on a tear after that though, sparking an 11-game win streak with a 28-3 victory over Cincinnati, which was followed by road wins over Philadelphia, 21-17, and the New York Jets, 13-11.
Denver then beat the New York Giants 33-32, Dallas 44-24, Houston 18-15, Las Vegas 10-7 and Kansas City 22-19 before the bye week.
The Broncos returned from the bye and beat Washington 27-26, Las Vegas 24-17 and Green Bay 34-26, before finally seeing their red-hot run end with a 34-20 loss to Jacksonville.
Kansas City Chiefs Form
Kansas City come into their home finale having now lost four consecutive games to fall out of the playoff race at 6-9.
The Chiefs opened with back-to-back defeats, but turned things around before the bye week as they won five of their next seven games to stay in the hunt at 5-4.
They made a losing return to action though, falling 22-19 in Denver, and they then failed to back up a 23-20 victory over Indianapolis as they lost four straight.
Kansas City were beaten 31-28 in Dallas, and followed that up with home losses to Houston, 20-10, and the Los Angeles Chargers, 16-13.
The Chiefs' skid then reached four games last weekend, as they were beaten 26-9 at Tennessee.
Verdict
This is a lot of points, but Denver's form and Kansas City's miserable record and injuries at QB offer reasons for confidence.
