Both teams are coming off embarrassing losses, but unlike the Raiders, the Jaguars have offered some reasons for optimism this season.

Jacksonville return from the bye week looking to snap a two-game losing skid that has dropped them to 4-3.
The Jaguars opened the season with a 26-10 victory over Carolina, but failed to back that up in their opening road game as they fell 31-27 in Cincinnati.
They rebounded quickly in the form of a 17-10 win over Houston, and they made the long trip to California where they downed San Francisco 26-21.
Jacksonville backed that up with their best win to date as they knocked off Kansas City at home, 31-28, but they have not won since.
The Jaguars’ winning run was ended by a 20-12 defeat to Seattle, and they then suffered a 35-7 blowout defeat to the Los Angeles Rams in London.
Las Vegas Raiders Form
Las Vegas are also coming out of the bye week in need of a victory, having lost five of their first seven games of the season.
The Raiders enjoyed a 20-13 win at New England on opening weekend, but it has largely been all downhill ever since.
They dropped the home opener against the Los Angeles Chargers, 20-9, and then fell to a 41-24 defeat at Washington.
Las Vegas had a last-gasp field goal blocked as they lost 25-24 to Chicago, and a week later they suffered their heaviest defeat of the season so far as they fell 40-6 in Indianapolis.
The Raiders did finally end their slide with a 20-10 win over Tennessee, but their joy was short-lived as they were shutout in a 31-0 defeat in Kansas City last time out.
Verdict
Jacksonville’s form dipped before bye week, so the timing of this matchup is great for them.
Las Vegas continue to struggle and probably have one eye on 2026 already, so give us the Jaguars on the road.
