The Chiefs endured a rough run of form when they returned from the bye week in late November, losing four times during a six-game spell.
They steadied the ship before the end of the regular season though, winning three of their final four games.
Kansas City beat New England 27-17, and then bounced back from a 20-14 loss to Las Vegas with victories over Cincinnati, 25-17, and the Los Angeles Chargers, 13-12.
The Chiefs then produced their best performance for several weeks as they beat Miami 26-7 in the Wildcard round of the playoffs.
Buffalo Bills Form
Buffalo come into this playoff matchup in great form, having now won each of their last six games.
The Bills’ form faltered badly between early October and the end of November as their reign over the AFC East came under threat.
They came storming back after the bye week though, starting this win streak with a 20-17 win at Kansas City.
Buffalo followed that up with a 31-10 blowout of Dallas as they went on to set up a winner-takes all Week 18 clash with Miami, which they won 21-17.
The Bills then took their streak to six games on Monday night as they downed Pittsburgh in their delayed Wildcard game, 31-17.
