Kansas City head to Dallas on a short week having rebounded from back-to-back defeats with a big win to improve to 6-5.
The Chiefs made a rough start to the season as they dropped back-to-back games, losing 27-21 to the Los Angeles Chargers in Brazil and 20-17 at home to Philadelphia.
They rallied over the next couple of weeks, beating the New York Giants 22-9 and Baltimore 37-20, only to suffer a 31-28 defeat when they visited Jacksonville.
Kansas City bounced back with three straight wins at home, beating Detroit 30-17, Las Vegas 31-0 and Washington 28-7, but saw their run end with a 28-21 defeat at Buffalo before the bye.
The Chiefs then returned to action with a 22-19 loss in Denver before finally getting back to winning ways last weekend as they beat Indianapolis in overtime, 23-20.
Dallas Cowboys Form
Dallas enter this matchup having returned from the bye week with back-to-back wins to improve to 5-5-1.
The Cowboys endured a disappointing start to the season as they won just one of their first four games of the campaign, opening with a 24-20 loss at Philadelphia.
They then failed to back up a 40-37 overtime win over the New York Giants as they lost 31-14 at Chicago and tied 40-40 at home to Green Bay, before finally stopping the rot with a 37-22 win at the New York Jets.
Dallas then responded to a 30-27 defeat to Carolina with a 44-22 win over Washington, only to then lose 44-24 at Denver and 27-17 at home to Arizona before the bye.
The Cowboys have turned around their form since returning to action though, backing up a 33-16 win in Las Vegas with a 24-21 come-from-behind win over Philadelphia.
Verdict
Kansas City got a much-needed win last weekend, but it is hard to ignore their rough record away from Arrowhead.
Couple that with Dallas’ spread record as an underdog and the Cowboys become an appealing pick with the free points.
