Anaheim head to Colorado having responded to their worst run of the season with their best run of the campaign so far.
The Ducks went into Christmas Day on the back of a 3-1 defeat to Seattle, and that proved to be the start of a nine-game losing run that saw them lose their first five games of 2026.
They fell 5-2 at home to Minnesota, before heading out on the road to lose 7-4 in Washington, 5-2 at Philadelphia, 5-2 in Carolina and 5-3 at Buffalo.
Anaheim finally ended that losing skid at nine games with a 3-1 win at home to Dallas, and they have backed that up with three more victories.
The Ducks downed Los Angeles 3-2 on the road, before heading back home to beat the Kings 2-1 in overtime and the New York Rangers 5-3 in regulation.
Colorado Avalanche Form
Colorado enter this matchup on the back of a win, but on one of their worst runs of the season having lost four of their last seven games.
The Avalanche enjoyed a season-best surge between December 11 and January 3 as they reeled off 10 consecutive victories.
That run was ended by a 2-1 defeat at Florida, and they then moved on to Tampa for a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Tampa Bay.
Colorado rebounded at home as they blew out Ottawa 8-2 and shut out Columbus in a 4-0 victory, but they failed to maintain that winning form as they fell 4-3 in overtime against Toronto.
The Avalanche then lost 7-3 to Nashville, before rebounding on Monday night as they downed Washington at home, 5-2.

Colorado are not in their best form overall, but this is a team that has been piling up wins at home in recent months.
