The Bruins were in solid form prior to those defeats, running out winners in five of their previous six games.
They began that sequence with a 4-1 victory at home to Toronto, which was followed by a 5-1 success when they hosted Pittsburgh.
Boston failed to make it three-in-a-row as they lost 5-1 to St Louis, but they responded to that loss with a 2-1 overtime win in Montreal and home wins over Philadelphia, 6-5, and Ottawa, 6-2.
The Bruins’ run was halted by a 5-2 loss at home to New York Rangers, and they were unable to bounce back immediately as they then lost 3-2 in Philadelphia.
Florida Panthers Form
Florida return home looking to build on a road that win that finally brought an end to their recent slump.
The Panthers enjoyed a six-game win streak during late February and early March, and when that run was ended they immediately responded with a couple of wins.
They beat Calgary 5-1 at home, before heading out on the road to edge a seven goal-thriller with Dallas, 4-3.
Florida failed to keep that run going though, as they were shutout in a 4-0 loss in Carolina before heading home to lose 5-3 to Tampa Bay and 3-0 to Nashville.
The Panthers’ slide then reached four games with a shootout loss at the New York Rangers, but they finally stopped the rot on Sunday as they won 4-1 in Philadelphia.
