The Blackhawks’ miserable run began with three consecutive defeats, as they lost 3-1 in Seattle and 4-1 in Vancouver, before heading home for a 3-2 defeat to Anaheim.
They then failed to build on a 3-1 upset of Florida as they were beaten 3-2 in overtime in Philadelphia.
Chicago avoided back-to-back defeats thanks to a surprise 6-2 win over Dallas, but they have not lost since, with a 3-2 loss in Minnesota sparking a five-game skid.
The Blackhawks then lost 6-3 to Columbus, before following up a 4-1 defeat in Toronto with 4-2 home losses to Boston and Winnipeg.
New York Rangers Form
New York go into this game looking to build on the win over Pittsburgh and spark a good run of form.
The Rangers lost five straight in the second half of November, starting with a 3-2 defeat in Calgary and a 6-2 loss in Edmonton.
They then returned home for a 5-2 defeat to St Louis, before heading back out on the road to lose 4-3 in Carolina and 3-1 at Philadelphia.
New York stopped the rot with a 4-3 victory over Montreal, only to then lose 5-1 to New Jersey.
The Rangers did issue an immediate response though, as they beat Pittsburgh 4-2 last Friday night.
Verdict
New York went cold in late November, but this is a great opportunity for them to string wins together.
Chicago are in terrible form and just fired their head coach, so we expect the Rangers to pile on the misery here.
