The Stars avoided back-to-back defeats with a 6-2 victory in New Jersey, although they soon returned to losing ways with a 3-2 overtime loss at the New York Islanders.

Detroit come into this game on a good run of form, having now won seven of their first nine games of 2024.
The Red Wins began the year with a three-game road trip, and it proved to be a highly successful one that started with a 5-3 win in San Jose.
They then beat Los Angeles via a shootout before winning 3-2 in Anaheim, and although they failed to build on that at home, losing 3-2 in overtime to Edmonton, they soon bounced back.
Detroit beat Los Angeles 5-3, before heading back out on the road to beat Toronto 4-2 and Florida 3-2 in overtime.
The Red Wings then lost 4-2 in Carolina, only to return to winning ways when they beat Tampa Bay 2-1 at home over the weekend.

Detroit have been in good form in recent weeks, making them appealing underdog pick against the inconsistent Stars.
