New Jersey failed to back that up as they fell 4-1 in Anaheim, but they did bounce back at home as they downed Montreal in overtime, 4-3.
The Devils then won a shootout against Pittsburgh, only to suffer a 3-2 overtime defeat when they hosted the New York Islanders last time out.

Chicago come into this game on their best run of the season, having won three straight games to reach 8-5-3.
The Blackhawks opened the season with three consecutive defeats, but responded well to win four of their next five.
They then bounced back from a 3-1 defeat to Los Angeles with a 7-3 victory over Ottawa, but they failed to back that up.
Chicago started a six-game road trip with three straight defeats, losing 6-3 in Winnipeg, 3-2 in overtime in Edmonton and 3-1 in Seattle.
The Blackhawks rallied on the road though, following up a 5-2 victory in Vancouver with a 4-0 win at Calgary and a 5-1 success at Detroit.
Verdict
Chicago have found some form in recent weeks, but their recent record against New Jersey makes for ugly reading.
The Devils have won the last six meetings and are off to a strong start despite the loss last time out, so we are backing the visitors to leave the ‘Windy City’ with the dub.
