New Jersey head to Colorado on the back of a road win that improved their record to 6-3-1.
The Devils made a slow start to the 2023/24 campaign as they went 3-3 through their first six games.
They found some form in late October though, going on a three-game win streak that started with a 5-4 win at home to Buffalo.
New Jersey then beat Minnesota 4-3 at home and 5-3 on the road, before seeing their winning run end with a 4-1 defeat in St Louis.
The Devils bounced back immediately though, scoring two goals in the first and third periods to see off Chicago, 4-2.
Colorado Avalanche Form
Colorado return home on the back of a rough road defeat, but with a solid 7-3 record through 10 games.
The Avalanche made a blistering start to the season as they reeled off six consecutive victories, including four on the road.
That streak was brought to a halt in Pittsburgh though, as they were shut out in a 4-0 defeat to Pittsburgh.
Colorado then drew a blank as they were beaten 4-0 in Buffalo, but they finally ended their goal drought when they returned home to beat St Louis.
However, the Avalanche failed to score for the third time in four games on Saturday, losing 7-0 at defending champions Vegas.

New Jersey have been good on the road so far and are backed to pull off an upset against a slumping Colorado team.
