Pittsburgh come into this game having been on a rough run since the start of February, losing seven of their last 11 games.
The Penguins ended January on a red-hot run thanks to six straight wins, but began last month with defeats to Ottawa, 3-2, and the New York Islanders, 5-4 in overtime.
They rebounded to beat Buffalo 5-2 and New Jersey 4-1, before answering a 3-2 defeat to the New York Rangers with a 5-0 blowout of Vegas.
Pittsburgh’s form dipped after that though, as they followed up a 2-1 defeat in Boston with home losses to Buffalo, 5-1, and Philadelphia, 4-3.
The Penguins avoided a fourth straight loss as they beat Boston 5-4 in overtime at home, only to then suffer a 5-4 defeat when they visited Carolina on Tuesday.
Vegas Golden Knights Form
Vegas enter this matchup on a terrible run of form, having now lost 11 of their last 15 games and each of the last three.
The Golden Knights’ terrible form started in late January as they went on a five-game losing skid.
They rallied by backing up a 5-2 win over Vancouver with back-to-back wins over Los Angeles, beating the Kings 4-1 at home and 6-4 on the road, but their joy was short-lived.
Vegas returned to losing ways as they lost three in a row on the road, falling 3-2 in Washington, 5-0 at Pittsburgh and 3-2 in Buffalo.
The Golden Knights avoided a fourth straight loss, beating Detroit 4-3 in overtime, but they failed to follow that up as they then lost 4-2 to Minnesota, 4-2 to Edmonton and 2-1 at Dallas.

These two teams have underwhelmed in recent weeks, but we find ourselves leaning towards the Penguins in this one.
