Seattle head to Los Angeles in miserable form, having lost 10 of their last 12 games to fall to 10-14-8.

The Kraken made it to the playoffs last time around, but a return is looking unlikely at this early stage of the season.

A 5-1 defeat at home to Vancouver on November 24 proved to be the start of a run of eight straight defeats.

Seattle stopped the rot finally with a 4-0 win against Florida, and they backed that up with a 7-1 demolition of Chicago.

The Kraken failed to keep that run going though, as they lost to Los Angeles via a shootout before heading to Dallas for a 4-3 defeat.

Los Angeles come into this game on the back of a couple of wins in response to a recent three-game losing skid.

The Kings hit a hot streak in the second half of November as they reeled off five consecutive wins before falling to a 2-1 defeat to Washington.

They bounced back quickly though, beating Colorado 4-1 at home before heading out on the road to beat Columbus 4-3 in overtime and Montreal 4-0.

Los Angeles’ form tailed off after that though, as they lost back-to-back games in New York, 3-2 OT to the Islanders and 4-1 to the Rangers.

The Kings’ losing sequence hit three games with a 5-2 home loss to Winnipeg, but they were able to avoid a fourth straight loss with a shootout win in Seattle, and backed that up with a 4-1 win in San Jose.
