They got off the mark with a 5-2 win over semi-final opponents Denmark, and backed that up with a 3-0 victory over the United States.
Switzerland then beat Germany 5-1, before shutting out Norway and Hungary in 3-0 and 10-0 victories.
The Swiss wrapped up the group stage with a 4-1 victory over Kazakhstan, and then made it seven wins in a row with a 6-0 victory over Austria in the quarter-finals.
Denmark Form
Denmark booked their place in the semi-finals with a sensational upset of tournament favorites Canada.
The Danes were handed a brutal start to the World Championship as they lost 5-0 to the United States, 5-2 to Switzerland and 7-2 to the Czech Republic.
They finally steadied the ship with a 5-1 win over Kazakhstan, and were able to build on that as they beat Hungary 8-2 and Norway 6-3.
That set up a winner-takes-all showdown with Germany in their final group game, and Denmark took it 2-1 via a shootout.
The Danes then claimed their spot in the final four as they stunned Canada, 2-1, in the quarter-finals.
Verdict
Denmark just pulled off a major upset, but we are not expecting a repeat of that.
Switzerland are on a tear and have dominated the Danes in recent times, so we are backing the Swiss for a comfortable victory.
