The Hurricanes strung together three consecutive wins in late October, before rebounding from a 2-1 loss at the New York Rangers with a 4-3 overtime win at the Islanders.
They made it back-to-back wins with a 3-2 overtime success against Buffalo at home, only to then lose 5-2 in Florida.
Carolina responded with a 4-0 win at Tampa Bay, but they failed to back it up as they then lost 3-1 to Philadelphia.
The Hurricanes have not lost since though, following up a 4-2 victory against Pittsburgh with a 6-3 success against Edmonton.
