Tampa Bay are still in the playoff hunt, but they are in terrible form with seven losses in their last nine games.

The Lightning’s miserable run started with a 7-3 defeat in Pittsburgh, and continued when they returned home to lose 4-1 to Florida and 5-4 to the Penguins in overtime.

The losses continued to stack up as they were beaten 5-3 at Buffalo and 6-0 at Carolina, before they finally ended their drought with a 5-2 win against Philadelphia.

Tampa Bay then lost 4-3 in overtime, before bouncing back to beat Chicago 3-1.

The Lightning failed to make it back-to-back wins though, losing 3-2 when they hosted Winnipeg over the weekend.

New Jersey Devils Form

New Jersey have enjoyed some solid form in March, with five wins coming in their last seven games.

The Devils ended February with a couple of wins and started this month with a 7-5 victory at Colorado.

Their three-game win streak was halted by a shootout loss in Vegas, but they rebounded in Arizona with a 5-4 overtime victory over the Coyotes.

New Jersey failed to build on that as they lost 4-3 at home to Toronto, although they have not lost since.

The Devils bounced back to beat Washington in a shootout, and followed that up with a 3-1 win at Montreal and a 3-0 victory over Carolina.
