The Golden Knights rough run started on the road in the second half of December as they were beaten 6-3 in Carolina.
They then lost 5-4 at Tampa Bay, 4-2 at Florida and 5-2 in Anaheim before finally stopping the rot with a 3-2 win against Los Angeles.
Vegas failed to build on that though, as they lost 3-0 to Seattle in the Winter Classic and then fell to a 4-1 defeat when they hosted Florida.
However, they were able to get back to winning ways last time out, beating the New York Islanders 5-2 at home.

Colorado come into this matchup on a solid run of form, having won five of their last six games to reach 26-12-3.
The Avalanche wrapped up 2023 with back-to-back wins, beating St Louis 2-1 on the road and San Jose 3-1 at home.
They then won their opening game of 2024, beating the New York Islanders 5-4 in overtime, before taking their win streak to four games with a 5-4 overtime victory in Dallas.
Colorado failed to make it five-in-a-row as they were beaten 8-4 at home by Florida, but they issued an immediate response.
The Avalanche edged Boston on Monday night, claiming a shootout victory over the Bruins at home.
Verdict
Colorado come into this in much better form and with home ice advantage, so we like the Avalanche to avenge November's embarrassing loss.
