The Avalanche wrapped up 2023 with back-to-back wins, beating St Louis 2-1 on the road and San Jose 3-1 at home.
They then won their opening game of 2024, beating the New York Islanders 5-4 in overtime, before taking their win streak to four games with a 5-4 overtime victory in Dallas.
Colorado failed to make it five-in-a-row as they were beaten 8-4 at home by Florida, but they issued an immediate response.
The Avalanche edged Boston on Monday night, claiming a shootout victory over the Bruins at home.
Verdict
Colorado come into this in much better form and with home ice advantage, so we like the Avalanche to avenge November's embarrassing loss.
