The Jets enjoyed a five-game win streak in late November, but failed to bounce back quickly after that run ended.
They lost 3-2 in Nashville to miss out on a sixth consecutive win, and they then returned home to lose 2-0 to Dallas and 3-1 to Edmonton.
Winnipeg were able to bounce back on the home ice though, starting with a 3-1 victory over Chicago.
The Jets then followed that up on Monday night when they beat Carolina 2-1 in the final home game before this road trip.
Colorado Avalanche Form
Colorado enter this matchup having snapped a three-game losing skid to take their record to 16-7-2.
The Avalanche were red-hot in the second half of November, winning seven times during an eight-game spell.
That run included a four-game win streak that was brought to an end by a 4-3 overtime defeat in Arizona.
Colorado then failed to win the next two games on that road trip, dropping a shootout against Anaheim with a 4-1 defeat to Los Angeles.
The Avalanche did snap their losing skid when they returned home though, beating Anaheim 2-1 on Tuesday night.
