LAFC had the better of this matchup last season as they secured a point on the road in a 1-1 draw before then triumphing 2-1 when they hosted the Sounders.

LAFC may have only played two games to far, but they have been superb at the start of the new MLS season.
A 3-2 win over the Portland Timbers saw LAFC involved in more of a battle than they thought they would have, with normal service resumed in a 4-0 demolition of the New England Revolution in their second match.
With only two matches played, LAFC sit in second in the league, three points short of St Louis City at the top. Considering the league leaders have played three games and have a goal difference of +4 in comparison to LAFC's +6, a win in this one could see them move to the top.
